Forden Gaer: Community Excavation

In partnership with GLASU, CAP will be undertaking a community based excavation near the Roman fort at Forden Gaer from 9th August to 3rd September. There will be room for up to 10 volunteers. Previous experience is not necessary.

The work will be undertaken in an area where evidence of a possible Saxon timber hall was discovered by CPAT in 1987. If the proposed work confirms this interpretation, it would represent a discovery of national importance.
